Here is my first post regarding the Zulu Challange on Saturday at Centennial Park.
This post too, showcases one of my biggest passions in life, Animal Rescue.
I had the absolute honor, of photographing some of Angel's Animal Rescue's adoptable mutts out of Merrit BC.
A little back story of myself. I grew up in the countryside of the Okanagan, the family farm, was a Rescue farm. 4 acres of forest and pastures, running with horses, taking in strays and abandoned or abused dogs and cats. Chickens, rabbits, birds... We even rescued an orphaned fawn and raised!!! Her name was Dot. My first Rescue dog that chose me, i was 5 years old, his name was Nanook, a wolf/malamute that just showed up out of the woods of Glenrosa one day, and lived out his old age snd cancer battle with us. It was that day, I knew, I'd do this for the rest of my life.
I have had many rescues over the years, fostered, rehomed, down extractions, volunteering at rescues, many being very traumatic animal abuse cases in my 36 years of life. Its heart wrenching, but the reward, when one of these beautiful critters find their home, and get to live in finally peace and love, is worth every darn minute and heartache.
These volunteers out of Merritt at Angel's I have followed many stories of theirs over the years. So to have them down here at the Zulu Challange I was in my glory! All the happy Floofs getting to showcase their unique personalities!
The best way I know I can help these dogs is right here, through social media exposure.
I'll be doing Individual posts of each special canine, with their names, breed estimation and approx. Ages, and my character review of each mutt as I got to work with them that day. So keep an eye out followers. Maybe you will find your next furrever friend 🧡🐺🐕
