"Drumheller"

I finally got the chance to visit Drumheller, the Dinosaur Capital of the World, and I have to say, the hoodoos and the landscapes were what impressed me the most.

The rock formations are just unreal. Standing there, looking at the scenery around you, it almost feels like you’ve been transported to another world in a land from millions of years ago when dinosaurs still walked the Earth. It honestly doesn’t feel like the Canada we usually imagine.

There’s something special about seeing a place like this in person. The layers of rock, the strange formations, and the vast landscape make you realize just how powerful time and nature can be. It’s amazing to think that we can still stand here today and catch a glimpse of what the world may have looked like millions of years ago.

The dinosaurs may be long gone, but their story is still written across this land. And in a way, we’re still walking on the very same Earth they once walked on.

Drumheller is definitely one of those places that makes you stop, look around, and appreciate how incredible our planet really is.

Red Deer Airshow 2026

Got a chance to catch a glimpse of the airshow on July 25, 2026!

I wasn’t actually inside the Red Deer Regional Airport. I was just outside the airport grounds, but I was still lucky enough to enjoy the amazing show from around 3 PM to 5 PM. The planes were flying high and fast, but thankfully, I brought my 200mm lens with me, which helped me get some closer shots. For some of the other photos, I simply cropped them to bring the action a little closer.

It was definitely an incredible sight to watch. Seeing those pilots perform such precise and challenging maneuvers really makes you appreciate the amount of skill, courage, and training that goes into what they do.

Salute to all the brave pilots who put on such an amazing show!

Peyto Lake

Definitely one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen, and it’s right here in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

I took this photo in June 2026, and the weather was a little foggy that day. Honestly, I think the mist made the place even more beautiful. It gave the lake a bit of mystery and added so much character to the whole scene.

The hike is only around 600 meters, and I wouldn’t say it’s particularly difficult. That said, it can still be tiring, especially when some parts of the trail are slippery and a few sections are inclined.

What really makes this lake special is its incredible turquoise-colored water. It almost looks like a poster or something you’d see in a painting. And no, the color in this photo isn’t edited. This is pretty much how the water actually looks when you see it in person. Although, honestly, I think it’s even more beautiful when you’re standing there and seeing it with your own eyes.

The unique shape of the lake is also one of the reasons it’s sometimes described as a "wolf lake," because from above, its outline resembles the head of a wolf.

If you’re visiting Banff National Park, this is definitely one place you shouldn’t skip. Just be ready to be amazed when you finally see it in person.

The Calgary Stampede Showband doing an amazing show at the Calgary Stampede 2026.

They are the official youth marching band of the Calgary Stampede, known as its musical ambassadors. It’s a world‑champion ensemble made up of talented performers aged 16–21 who deliver high‑energy music, precision marching, and choreographed routines throughout Stampede events. They appear in parades, daily shows, rodeo openings, and special performances, representing Calgary with discipline, artistry, and signature Stampede spirit.

Enjoyed taking their portraits while performing.

Keep the fire burning!

3 Tips for Perfect Night Street Portraits

Night street portraits have a unique mood — cinematic, raw, and full of character. But shooting in low light can be tough. Here are three essential tips to help you capture sharper images, cleaner details, and more confident poses on the street at night:

1. Control Your ISO and Use Available Light

Street lights, neon signs, storefronts, and even passing cars can be your best friends.

Keep your ISO as low as possible (400–1000) to reduce noise, then position your subject near a light source to brighten their face naturally.

This gives you cleaner skin tones and sharper details without over-editing.

2. Use the Environment to Add Depth

Night streets are full of reflections, colors, and textures.
Use walls, windows, puddles, or even traffic lights to create layers in your shot.

Let the background tell part of the story — it makes the portrait feel alive and cinematic.

3. Guide Relaxed, Confident Poses

Night portraits look best when the subject feels natural.
Ask them to lean on a wall, walk slowly toward the camera, or look toward a light source.

Small movements — a slight head turn, hands in pockets, or a soft expression — create strong, moody street vibes.

✨ Bonus Tip: Shoot in RAW so you can recover shadows and fine‑tune colors during editing.
