I couldn’t be prouder of my husband, Jeff Rose , on being named the 2026 CBL Umpire of the Year! ❤️🏆⚾️ On October 28, Canadian Baseball League shared the exciting news, and it means so much to see his dedication and hard work recognized!
For the past 30 years, I’ve witnessed Jeff’s passion for umpiring, his commitment to fairness and respect, and the relationships he’s built throughout the baseball community. He has earned the respect of countless players, coaches, managers, team owners, and fans.
❤️ Baseball has been part of our love story from the very beginning — it’s where Jeff and I first met! Our kids have been going to their dad’s games since birth. I even chose a job that worked around their activities and Jeff’s umpiring schedule so we could all be together as much as possible. From collecting autographs from their favourite players to developing a love for the game themselves, our kids have made so many wonderful memories. When our son was barely a teenager, he decided he wanted to umpire, too, dreaming of one day working alongside his dad in the CBL. Watching our kids grow up seeing how much their dad is respected and loved by the baseball community is something I’ll always treasure. ⚾️❤️
This award reflects the dedication, hard work, and integrity Jeff brings to umpiring. Having witnessed his passion firsthand for the past 30 years, I know how much he deserves this recognition.
