11 years.
11 years since I last heard your voice, since I last hugged my 17-year-old son. June 4, 2015.

11 years ago today, my world stopped @ 4:09pm when we lost Aaron.

I’ll never get to see you get married or have our mother/son wedding dance. I’ll never get to be a grandma to your kids. I’ll never see you chase your dreams of becoming a chef and a writer — and you would have been incredible at both.

But June 4th didn’t take the memories. I still hear your laugh. I still see your gentle, kind, compassionate heart. I still remember your sense of humor, our late-night movies, you & I playing video games, especially when we played COD (Call of Duty) or Little Big Planet.

Grief is just love with nowhere to go. And I have so much love for you. The missing never stops. It just lives alongside the love.
