If I had a dollar for every time a client asked "what if my dog runs off," I could probably retire.

Here's the truth: your dog stays on leash for the entire session. Every single time. It's how we keep them safe near water, parks, or anywhere with too many exciting smells to resist.

Then, in editing, the leash disappears. So what you're left with is a photo that looks like your dog was simply free, present, and completely themselves, without you ever having to worry.

Today is National Pet Photography Day, and I want to tell you something I don't usually put into a caption.

This business didn't start with a five-year plan. It started because I was dealing with depression and needed an outlet. Photography became that outlet. And somewhere along the way, it turned into this: capturing meaningful portraits of the pets who mean everything to your family.

Every time someone lets me into their home or their life to photograph their pet, that's trust, and I don't ever want to treat it like it's just another booking.

So today, if you've photographed with me before, I'd love for you to post that image and tag me.

Let's celebrate this day together, and let's celebrate the pets who make our lives better just by being in them.
