It’s kind of crazy when you really think about it; a photo literally stops time. It also regenerates the exact feeling and memory of a time.. like we’re back there. Seriously, think about it for a second.. isn’t it just wild?? 🤯

It was one second on the beach, the light, the people, the umbrellas. It’s all still there. On this screen, on paper. And somehow, we get to keep it. And hang it on a wall, inside a completely different space…

A little piece of real life, frozen just enough to remind us what it felt like. Or a window looking through someone else’s set of eyes…

I don’t know, man. This never gets old.

Dark and light develop side by side; one needs the other to form a whole. Shadow becomes light, light becomes shadow (when developing in the darkroom, and in life). Opposites coexist. Look closely at the shadow. You might be surprised by what it reveals.

Shadow and light are always communicating. Energy shows itself beyond the surface; it’s deliciously revealing.
