It’s been a little quiet around here… but I’ve been busy both behind and in front of the camera. ✨

Photography, content creation, and a few other things have been keeping me on my toes lately :)

But I’m back to sharing, starting with this adorable family session ♪

Always a pleasure working with this beauty!

Hannah is an incredibly talented opera singer who travels the world doing what she loves, so I feel pretty lucky whenever I get to photograph her ♪

I loved capturing her in this season of life—her glow, her beauty, and just a little bit of that magic that makes her态her. And doing it in a place with that cozy, charming Nova Scotian feel that reminds her of home made it even more special. ✨

Sometimes the best souvenir isn't something you buy.. It's the photo that instantly takes you back to a place, a season, and the people you shared it with✨

This sweet family chose to spend part of their Nova Scotia vacation documenting this chapter together, and I feel so lucky they trusted me with it.

Here's to slowing down, soaking it all in, and making memories that last long after the trip is over🩷

A little fam day out in Lunenburg🌸

I don’t know what it is about this place, but every time I’m here, it just makes me so happy. Every little corner has so much charm, and there’s always something that catches my eye.

We took a little break at The Hungry Traveler Cafe for lunch, and I had their sweet potato biscuit. It was honestly so good. The cafƩ was cozy, charming, and had that warm feeling that makes you want to stay a little longer.

We also picked up some coconut ice cream from Sweet Treasures and let’s just say… it was such a treat. Highly recommend if you’re ever around!

Made an Earl Grey tea cake with loads of fresh summer berries šŸ“šŸ« It's light, cozy, and super easy to customize with whatever fruit you have. Definitely one I'll be making all summer✨

SUMMER BERRY Earl Grey Tea Cake

Ingredients:
½ cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 packet Earl Grey tea (tea leaves only)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup sour cream
1ā…“ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 tsp flour + 1 tsp sugar (for coating the berries)
Extra sugar for sprinkling on top

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Scrunch up a sheet of parchment paper, smooth it back out, and use it to line a 9-inch round cake pan.
3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and Earl Grey tea leaves until light, fluffy, and pale in color.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Add the vanilla and sour cream, and mix until smooth.
6. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
7. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
8. Combine the strawberries and blueberries in a bowl. Toss with 1 teaspoon flour and 1 teaspoon sugar to lightly coat the berries (this helps prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the cake)
9. Gently fold the berries into the batter.
10. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle a little extra sugar over the top for a slightly crisp, crackly finish.
11. Bake for 45–55 minutes. Start checking the cake around the 40-minute mark. If the top is browning too quickly, loosely tent the cake with foil to prevent it from burning while the center continues to bake.
12. The cake is done when it is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
13. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy this cake with a dollop of whipped cream, or simply on its own. It’s the perfect little summer bake🌸
