Last year Parker reached out to me to set up a photoshoot for the day after he proposed to Melissa. Having known Parker via work I was ecstatic to do this gig! He had set up an amazing weekend for them in the highlands so I drove to meet them in Ingonish in the morning. They bought me breakfast and we chatted and laughed and stared at her new ring. The two were bubbling with excitement and oh my gosh my heart was exploding.

The rest of the day we drove around and found spots, played with their dogs and took things slow because it was -20 out 😳 or at least that’s what I remember it feeling like.

It was an absolute joy to get to capture this day where their excitement was so tangible and their love for each other was the sweetest to capture.

Thank you Melissa & Parker for letting me be apart of this day and blessings to you two in your future together!

I really believe artistic growth comes when we’re allowed to let our brains flow, try new things and challenge ourselves with unfamiliar concept’s. This it isn’t always the case as photographers that our shoots go that way.

This shoot was that for me, I feel proud of these pictures, I pushed my work. We pulled clothes I thought were kind of out there but fun, tried angles I wasn’t use to and I love how it came together. Also, Britt slayed 🔥🔥

Pregnancy has kept me pretty quiet work-wise but I’m so looking forward to more content dreaming ✨

When Tia and I went out to do our shoot we initially went to a public walking trail. I’ve shot here lots so didn’t think much of it but we ended up having a whole family watch and comment as I tried to photograph her. 😂 This is the first time I’ve encountered that level of intrusive lurking over my shoulder and it wasn’t a good time. Tia took it like champ though and was able to smile through the SUPER awkward red neck commentary going on behind me.

I love this girl so much and her high on life spirit! So glad you joined our community Tia!! ♥️♥️

To my sister from another mister:

You’ve been in my life for what seems like forever now. In some ways we couldn’t be more opposite, in others we couldn’t be more aligned. We’ve both grown & changed and watched each other go through so much in life; being near and far at times. But a few things have stayed steady, my deep love for you and my deep respect for you and the gifting you carry.

I literally never doubt if you’ll have the creative eye to catch a concept or if you’ll be able to run with any far fetched ideas. You meet me in my chaos and you happily run with it and add your touch. Just by embracing who you are you’ve pushed me and challenged me so much in myself.

Thanks for always being gracious & loving to me. Quick to forgive and forget and quick to empower & encourage. I’m very confident you were very intentionally placed in my life.
