There isn’t a caption that can best represent this perfect day. So I’ll share a little poem I wrote for these two instead.

On your wedding day, my dear brother
I have been thinking of how we grew up together
I always dreamt of having a little sister,
But instead, I go you - the most handsome mister
As a kid I dressed you up in all sorts of thrills
Pinks, bows and dresses, it was all such a thrill!
But that boy was a boy who would swing from the trees
And wouldn’t come down when mom begged him please
I watched you grow up from a wild little kid
With mischief and fun in all that you did
Now look at you with your confident grin
A man on the outside, still my little brother within
Here we are, on the most special day
Marrying a woman who takes your heart away
She’s the sister I dreamed of so sweet and so true
And I’m happy, so happy she’s now part of our crew
As you step into this life, hand in hand with her
Know my heart swells with joy, love and cheer
I’m proud of you both, as you start this new chapter
With love, laughter and happily ever after
You’ve found your match, your beautiful bride
And I’m thankful to finally have my little sister - the sweetest one at your side
She brings calm where storms once stirred
A kindness felt without a word
And though she came as someone new
She feels like someone I always knew
Together now your lives entwine
And I’m grateful that part of her is now part of mine
