If you’re showing up to your family session hoping your kids will sit still, smile perfectly, and cooperate the whole time… I’m going to gently tell you that’s probably not going to happen.

And that’s okay.

Kids aren’t meant to be perfectly posed. They’re meant to explore, run, laugh, cling to your leg, ask for snacks every five minutes, and show me exactly who they are.

Give me the messy hugs.
The grass-stained knees.
The tiny hand reaching for yours.
The giggles, the curiosity, and yes… even the moments that feel a little chaotic.

Because years from now, you won’t wish they had smiled at the camera more.

You’ll wish you could step back into this season exactly as it was.

So let them be little.

The best sessions are the ones that feel like you.

Whether that’s baking cookies together, exploring your favourite trail, picking flowers from your garden, or letting your little ones decorate your growing bump with colourful gems…

Those are the moments that become memories.

Years from now, these girls probably won’t remember every detail about waiting for their baby sibling.

But they’ll remember decorating Mommy’s tummy with sparkly gems. They’ll remember laughing together. They’ll remember feeling included.
