One of my biggest fears as a photographer just happened...

A corrupted memory card ☠️ Not during the wedding itself, thankfully, but when I got home and started uploading the photos

My heart instantly sank. After all the planning, shooting, and excitement of the day, seeing that error message is not something any photographer wants to see

Then I remembered why I'm so particular about backups. My camera records to two memory cards at the same time, so every single image was safely backed up on the second card 🙌

It's one of those things clients rarely think about but there are so many behind the scenes systems in place to protect your memories. Extra batteries, backup gear, dual card slots, multiple copies of galleries... and today I was very thankful for all of them 😂🤍

Did you know you can’t just walk through any apple orchard during blossom season? 🌸

Many orchards are spraying this time of year, which can make it unsafe for people to be around while treatments are happening. That’s why it’s always important to have permission and check first before entering any orchard property.

I spend a lot of time making sure the locations I use are safe, accessible, and approved before bringing clients there. Not only does it protect my clients, but it also shows respect for the local orchard owners and the work they do 🤍

The blossoms may be beautiful, but safety always comes first.
