I got to make another long-time photography dream come true, and I can’t say enough about how outstanding the organizers were.
This was the Corduroy Enduro, a dirt bike race set among the incredible natural beauty of Ontario.
I emailed the organizers just a few days before the event to ask about photographing it, and bingo! They responded quickly and warmly, providing me with a media pass that gave me the opportunity to get close to the action while, of course, following all the required safety rules.
It didn’t matter how long the drive was. It was absolutely worth it.
I was especially impressed by how well organized everything was. When I arrived, my media pass, information, and guide package had already been prepared and were waiting for me. That gave me a fantastic opportunity to explore different locations along the course and experiment with different styles of sports photography.
So, my dream of photography, turned into much more than just a photo opportunity: a beautiful drive to Gooderham, incredible scenery, welcoming organizers and staff, highly skilled riders, great weather, and finally, a drive home with my memory cards filled with the kinds of action shots I had dreamed of capturing.
Some dreams come home as photographs.
