This is your friendly reminder that our minds will often trick us into believing the unposed version of ourselves isn't worthy of being posted.
That somehow the posed photo is more acceptable.
More beautiful.
More deserving of a spot on our feed.
And trust me, even as a bo***ir photographer, I still fall into that trap sometimes.
But one thing I don't do anymore is delete the photo.
I keep it.
I save it to my phone, my gallery, or my backups.
Then six months later, I look back and ask myself:
"Why didn't I post that photo?"
Most of the time, I wasn't seeing the memory.
I was only seeing the things I wanted to change.
Now I see the laughter.
The adventure.
The people I was with.
The life I was living.
And honestly, that's what mattered all along.
So before you delete that photo today, maybe save it instead.
