To be a mother
the creator of life, the maker of the magic, the planner, the meal maker, the safe place, the problem solver, the reader of stories, the giver of healing kisses, the comfort after a hard day, the wearer of all hats, the one who selflessly gives more than she ever thought she could.

Motherhood is beautiful and exhausting, soft and loud, ordinary yet magical. There’s an unspoken connection between mothers everywhere. A deep understanding of the love that exists in the everyday moments.

This year, I’ve had the honour of photographing so many incredible mothers and the love they pour into their children (and grandchildren).

May we know them, may we love them, may we be them. 🤍
