A little appreciation post for everyone who has kept me busy behind the camera this season. 💚

I’m so incredibly grateful for every booking, every familiar face, every new friend, and every opportunity to capture the personalities and little moments that make your pets so special to you.

Being trusted to preserve memories of such an important part of your family is something I will never take for granted. These are the moments you’ll look back on years from now; and knowing I get to play even a small part in that means more to me than I can put into words.

Thank you for choosing me, for supporting my business, and for investing in something I pour so much of my heart into. I know that booking a session is an investment, and it genuinely means the world to me that you choose to spend your hard earned money on my work and my craft.

The Medical Chronicles of Relic continue!

I haven't been as active on socials the last few months as life seemed to have swallowed all my spare time whole, leaving me with very little capacity to bother with social media! I decided that taking socials off my plate to help avoid burning out was best as we deal with and focus on things such as Relic's continued medical distruptions, Baxter's medical changes, multiple education & business travels, business transitions, ect.

As many of you have likely seen on my stories through spring/summer, Relic has started himself a growing medical rap sheet with acute injuries/incidents. However, what hasn't been shown between these many one off incident; we've also been digging and chasing for answers to consistent symptoms Relic has been experiencing more longterm and today we finally see a specialist to dive deeper in search of possible causes! 🙌

I do not yet have any answers for Relic's symptom list, first step is to discover more with our Veterinarian Specialist team, when we have more information and next steps, I will be sure to share more on this all in due time.

As we have traveled into the city for this appointment, please expect a delay in my response time, I will return to any messages when we return home 🤍 thank you for your patience!

Some memories stay with us in the quietest ways..

A familiar face.
A little expression.
A silly habit.
The way they looked at us.
The little things that made them completely, unmistakably themselves.

I think that’s one of the things I love most about photographing our animals. I’m not just capturing what they look like; I’m capturing pieces of who they are, and the little moments that make them so incredibly special to the people who love them.

Because those are the things we end up holding onto.

The ordinary moments that didn’t feel extraordinary at the time. The quirks we could never imagine forgetting. The way their presence became such a natural part of our lives that we couldn’t imagine our days without it.

Cleo was one of those very special souls. 🧡

Looking back at her gallery, I don’t just see a beautiful dog. I see reminders of a life that mattered, a bond that mattered, and a love that will always have a place to live. I see her; and I feel so fortunate that I got to preserve a little moment of her story to be cherished by those who loved her deeply.

Some photographs become more than photographs.
They become a place to return to; a little reminder of the love, the laughter, and the memories that will always belong to us.

For Cleo, and for all of the beautiful souls who leave a little piece of themselves behind. 🐾

I’m really excited to be teaming up with Abby Acres Private Dog Park to bring you something a little different. 🐾

On September 28th, I’ll be offering a limited number of 30 minute photo sessions at their private, fully fenced off-leash park! (Approx. 25 minutes from Grande Prairie.)

The goal of these sessions are to keep things relaxed and natural; your dog gets opportunities to sniff, explore, run around and be themselves untethered while I capture those little moments along the way. I’ll also give you some guidance and help with positioning when needed, so we can get a mix of candid moments and beautiful portraits.

These limited fall sessions would be perfect for simply your dog, you and your dog, couples, or the whole family. Humans are always welcome (& encouraged) to join their pets! 🤍
