They looked at my work and said, “Yep… we’ll allow it.” 😂📸

I’m officially PPOC Accredited in Maternity Photography.

Which is honestly incredible considering I still:
• Say “just one more!” at least 47 times every session.
• Hold my breath while photos load.
• Whisper “please be in focus” after I’ve already pressed the shutter.
• Forget where I put my lens cap or walk away with other people’s lens caps.

Turns out years of chasing golden hour, lying in questionable places for “the shot,” and owning an embarrassing number of camera bags actually paid off.

In all seriousness, this is one of the proudest moments of my career.

Thank you to every family who has trusted me to capture such an incredible season of your lives. Thank you to every mentor who challenged me, encouraged me, and helped me grow into the photographer I am today. And thank you to everyone who believed in me—even on the days I wasn’t sure I believed in myself.

This accreditation means more than I can put into words.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to hang this certificate somewhere my imposter syndrome has to make eye contact with it every single day.

I genuinely think this might be one of my favourite images I've ever created.

Working with Oksana was an absolute dream. She somehow took the wonderfully chaotic collection of half-finished thoughts, hand gestures, and "Okay... so just trust me on this..." that lived in my brain and turned them into exactly what I had envisioned.

I don't know how she does it, but from the moment we started, she just got it. She trusted the process, embraced the vision, and brought a little bit of magic into every frame.

As photographers, we often have these big ideas that are crystal clear in our own heads... but explaining them out loud? That's a completely different story. 😂 Somehow, Oksana translated my creative chaos into something I honestly can't stop looking at.

I'm so incredibly grateful for collaborators who not only see the vision but elevate it. This image will always hold a special place in my heart. 🖤

To say I’m proud is an understatement… and if you know me, you know that’s saying something. ❤️

I’m incredibly honoured to officially announce that I have received my Maternity Accreditation from the Professional Photographers of Canada!

This achievement has been over a year in the making, filled with countless hours of learning, practicing, editing, second-guessing, and asking myself, “Do I really need to zoom in that much?” (Apparently, yes. 😂)

This is so much more than being a part-time photographer. It represents dedication, patience, perseverance, late nights, hard work, and a genuine desire to continually grow and create the very best experience and images for my clients.

There were moments after receiving a rejection when giving up seemed like the easier option. Thankfully, I have the most incredible people in my corner who reminded me to keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in myself. I truly couldn’t have done this without your encouragement.

Most importantly, I want to thank the amazing mamas who trusted me with such a beautiful and vulnerable season of their lives. At least ten of these incredible women allowed me to tell their stories and helped make this accreditation possible. Your trust means more than you know.

To every mama-to-be who has stepped in front of my camera: thank you for letting me be a small part of such a life-changing journey. It is an honour I will never take for granted.

Here’s to celebrating this milestone, continuing to grow, and creating even more beautiful memories—while probably still overthinking every image along the way. 🖤
