Lately, Iâve been thinking a lot about this business Iâve built and the name behind it.
Struck Photography.
Over the years, itâs become so much more than a logo or a business name. Itâs grown into weddings, rodeos, branding sessions, bo***ir through Struck After Dark, and a community of incredible women through The Struck Collective.
But the meaning behind it has always been pretty simple.
There are certain moments in life that make time slow down for just a second. The kind of moments that catch you off guard. The ones that hit you right in the chest and stay with you long after theyâre over.
-A bride taking a deep breath before walking down the aisle.
-A couple sharing a quiet moment together while the rest of the day rushes around them.
-The dust rising in a rodeo arena while someone gives everything they have for eight seconds.
-A woman seeing herself differently than she ever has before.
Theyâre not staged. Theyâre not planned. But theyâre powerful.
Those are the moments that strike you. The ones that make you feel something real.
And thatâs where the name came from.
From the very beginning, this business was never just about taking photos. It was about preserving the moments people will carry with them forever.
As the business grew, so did the vision behind the brand.
Struck After Dark became a place for women to celebrate confidence, strength, and self-love.
The Struck Collective became a community built on authenticity, support, and connection.
But behind all of itâthe brand, the sessions, the long drives, the late nights editing, and the dreams that felt impossible at timesâitâs still just me.
Iâm Danyka.
A girl from a small-town ranch who picked up a camera and built a life around telling stories.
This business has taken me places I never imagined, introduced me to incredible people, and allowed me to witness some of the most important moments in peopleâs lives.
And for that, Iâll always be grateful.
Because the best photographs arenât just seen.
Theyâre felt.
And if youâve ever stood in one of my galleries and felt yourself right back in that momentâŚ
Then youâve experienced exactly what Struck was always meant to be.
