It never gets old, even after more than two decades of being a photographer 🤭

On Saturday I attended a funeral. The mother of one of my closest friends passed away from Cancer. I couldn’t hold back the tears watching my loved ones struggle through their tearful homages. Not long ago, I was at a similar funeral with many of the same family members for a mother lost to cancer before her time.
My mother got diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called bullous pemphigold In November.
For months she was wrapped from head to toe to treat and prevent her skin from feeling as if she walked out of a house fire alive.
In April, the doctors told us that my father in law would not survive his blood infection.
This event is for people with compassion.
For people who want to show up and support The Ottawa Hospital become a place of healing and restoration and breakthroughs in health care.
After witnessing the aweful lack of support and care that my loved ones have been going through I wish with all of my heart that they could have received better care.
Being part of this event brings me the comfort in knowing that maybe my impact will change someone’s life one day.
