🌊When you take a risk and it pays off! We started our session with A+N, and 10 min in, we got the craziest thunderstorm and rain. We decided to wait an hour and see how the evening would turn out… and we got that golden moment right at the end of the day. 🌅

Closer to the session date, Vanessa sent me a message letting me know that she would have a surprise for her fiancé. She custom-made a wedding ring for him, but it’s not just your regular ring. It’s a silver ring that has an outer layer made of wood and rock. The wood is from a maple tree on their property, and the rock is from their first trip to Newfoundland. It also came in a custom wooden NHL Stanley Cup ring box. To say that this surprise was the best part of the day is an understatement. Knowing how shy her fiancé was during the photoshoot, once she gifted it to him, we instantly started talking about hockey, and it got him more comfortable around me and just more relaxed. This was such a breaking point, and after that, our session flowed smoothly and beautifully. A bonus point was the location. Being back at Bottle Cove got me very emotional, as I wasn’t sure if I would ever visit this stunning place again. It truly holds a special place in my heart, and it wouldn’t be wrong to say it’s one of my favourite places in Newfoundland.

I know it’s already been a week since Gander Graduation, but I’d still like to say congratulations and thank you for letting me capture such a beautiful milestone!

Thank you for not taking me too seriously and for having fun with me during the session, because you’ll have the rest of your life ahead to take it all seriously.

G+J elopement at Fogo Island Inn was a dream! It wasn’t a warm day (as they came all the way from Ontario and ended up going from +25 to +6), but the wind gave us a break to capture stunning views right by the cliffs at the end of the day! I still keep thinking about that fog and waves 🌊
