You may have seen photos where it looks like the dog is roaming free in beautiful locations… but guess what? Most of the time, they're actually on a leash! 🎯

Here’s why photographers (like me!) often photograph dogs with leashes on:

✅ Safety First – Even the best-trained dogs can get distracted. A squirrel, a loud noise, or an unfamiliar place.
A leash keeps your furry friend safe and secure at all times.

✅ It's Easy to Edit Out! – Thanks to a bit of editing magic, I can remove leashes in post-processing so the final image looks clean and natural — like your dog was just casually living their best off-leash life. 🪄

✅ We Go to Cool Places – Whether it's a park, beach, or downtown street, many locations require dogs to be leashed. We follow those rules and still get amazing shots.

So if you're worried your dog can't be off-leash — don’t be! I’ve got it covered. Leash on during the session, leash off in the final photo. 🐶✨

🚨 Community Alert: Parvovirus in Our Area 🚨

People for Animal Wellbeing (PAW) want our community to be aware that canine parvovirus (parvo) has recently been confirmed in Kent County and the Greater Moncton area.

Parvo is a highly contagious and often deadly virus that attacks a dog’s gastrointestinal system. It spreads easily through:

• Contact with infected p**p or surfaces
• Contaminated shoes, paws, or fur
• Environments where infected dogs have been

Once present, parvo can linger in the environment for months, making prevention and vigilance critical.

⚠️ What to Watch For:
🐾 Lethargy/weakness
🐾 Vomiting
🐾 Bloody or foul-smelling diarrhea
🐾 Loss of appetite
🐾 Fever or low body temp

✅ How to Protect Your Dog:
💉 Vaccinate 💉 it’s the best protection!
🏠 Keep puppies’ home until fully vaccinated.
🚫 Avoid high-traffic dog areas until vaccinations are complete.
👩‍⚕️ Contact your vet if you see symptoms.

✨Today I’m sharing photos from a model call ✨

I do a lot of location scouting, I look at what direction the sun will be at and at what time with the SunSeeker app.

I had this location in Bouctouche in mind for a while and I finally decided to try it out with a model call. I want to say it was a success and I can’t wait to photograph more dogs here cause it’s a beautiful place!
