I’m a newborn, family, and wedding photographer with a deep love for telling honest stories through the lens of my camera, the kind of stories that feel lived in, soulful, and real. Born and raised in a small town just outside of Ottawa, Ontario, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of the imperfect and the meaningful. I’m inspired by unique venues, quiet farms, hidden gems, vintage details, classic cars, and funky clothing. I’m an old soul at heart, with a love for nostalgia, timeless textures, and moments that feel like they belong in another era. I’m also a mother of six, with children ranging from 22 years old to just 1.5 years. I know firsthand how quickly moments slip by, how tiny hands grow, how voices change, and how the days you swear you’ll remember forever quietly become memories. That’s why preserving them matters so deeply to me. My Approach

My sessions are connection-centered, relaxed, and intentionally unposed. I love the unexpected, so bring the banjo, the guitar, your child’s favourite stuffy or well-loved blanket. Those little quirks and keepsakes are the details that turn photographs into heirlooms. I don’t believe in photographing you once and disappearing. I want to be your lifetime photographer, there for the growing bellies, the newborn days, the wild toddler years, the graduations, weddings, and everything in between. During your session, I’ll gently guide you with natural prompts to help you ease in. Yes, we’ll grab a few classic “smile at the camera” moments, but my heart lives in the in-between. The laughter, the chasing, the quiet snuggles on a blanket, the way your family naturally moves together. I’ll happily get down on the ground for the perfect toddler-level perspective or hike to the top of your favourite mountain at sunrise if that’s what your story calls for. Bring your favourite snacks, cozy up, skip stones, run barefoot, be loud or soft, just be you. I can’t wait to meet you and help document your family’s visual legacy, one season, one story, one beautiful moment at a time. Over The Moon Photography

Having the opportunity to capture their newborn memories for the second time makes this session even more meaningful. Being able to watch families grow and document these little chapters of their lives is one of the most beautiful parts of what I do.

I wanted to share something a little personal today, something I’ve never really talked about to many people especially on my business page.

I was diagnosed with an intellectual disability about 15 years ago and while some people might see that as just a label, for me it was actually important to finally have that diagnosis, and it took such a weight off me.

Growing up, I struggled a lot in school. I never really understood why things that seemed so simple to others were so difficult for me. I spent so many years questioning myself, wondering what was wrong with me and why I couldn’t understand things the way everyone else seemed to.

It really does something to your confidence when you grow up feeling like you’re not smart enough or good enough, and dreaming of becoming a nurse was crushed, because I knew I wouldn’t make it through the schooling. I cried a lot growing up because of the frustration of struggling and not understanding why, I just wanted to be “normal”.

Getting my diagnosis helped me understand why I struggled the way I did. It didn’t change anything about who I was, but it gave me answers to questions I’d carried for years.

Even as an adult, there are things I still struggle with. Communication is one of them. Sometimes I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words, and my grammar and punctuation aren’t always the greatest. It’s something I’m constantly trying to improve, especially when it comes to running my business.

I take my photography business seriously, and providing good customer service has always been really important to me. I want my clients to feel comfortable, valued and taken care of, even if I don’t always have the perfect words, or say something backwards or say something that doesn’t make complete sense.

I’ve been doing photography for many years now, and when I look back at everything I’ve accomplished, I’m proud of myself. Especially knowing how many times throughout my life I’ve doubted what I was capable of.

I’m not sharing this because I want anyone to feel sorry for me. I just think sometimes it’s important to remember that we don’t always know what someone else has struggled with or continues to struggle with.

I’m still learning, still making mistakes and still trying to better myself every day.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that having a disability doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish things you’re proud of.

I’m proud of the business I’ve built, the relationships I’ve made with my clients and the fact that I never gave up on something I love doing.

So if you’ve ever received an email from me with a spelling mistake or something that wasn’t worded quite right, now you know a little more about the person behind those messages. ❤️

🏒📸 A little something different for us!

We don’t typically offer hockey portraits, but we had the opportunity to photograph the South Stormont Selects U9 team, and I think these turned out pretty great! ❤️

It was fun stepping outside our usual sessions and trying something a little different. Seeing these little athletes in their element has us wondering… should hockey portraits become something we offer? 👀🏒
