Last week when my friend and I went for our weekly course & coffee date, she biked and I ordered an *iced* mocha. I thought, “wow, what month is it even, this is so glorious, can’t wait for summer” and this morning, I spent over an hour shovelling AT LEAST 10 inches of snow from our walks and driveway. Nature really does know how to humble you, eh? The bright side is that my dogs look flippin’ hilarious bounding through the backyard.
Remembering the last time I experience such a jarring weather change brought me back to this time last year, coming home from Palm Springs (I went from a glorious warm poolside to -40 & frozen eyelashes). It’s not an exaggeration to say that even a year after the conference, I’m still thinking back to everything I learned from my week at . The impact it had in my mindset both professionally and personally is something I’m so grateful for. I’m also grateful for the delicious tacos & spicy margs consumed.
I firmly believe that learning never stops. As a self-employed person and an artist, you always need to be learning and growing. You’re learning new techniques, new business skills, new gear, new EVERYTHING, ALL of the time. Having a desire and curiosity for knowledge makes the biggest difference in how you grow (as a business and as a person!) I’d love to know what you’ve learned lately - maybe you’ve picked up a new hobby? Learned an instrument? Picked up writing? Tell meee
