You paid for professional photos… don’t ruin them with a screenshot. 👀

This is the perfect example of why taking the extra few seconds to download your photos is SO worth it.

When you screenshot an image, you’re only capturing the information displayed on your screen. That means the photo is compressed, reduced in quality, and loses a lot of the detail that makes professional photography look so good.

When you download your image directly from your gallery, you keep all of the original image data intact. Those teeny tiny pixels stay exactly where they’re supposed to, giving you a sharper, higher-quality image with better detail, colour, and clarity.

You may not notice the difference right away when scrolling on your phone, but it becomes incredibly important if you’re planning to print, enlarge, or preserve your photos for years to come.

My name is Gracyn, and I’m a lifestyle photographer serving Edmonton, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, and the surrounding Alberta area. I specialize in capturing authentic moments, genuine connections, and all the little details that make your story uniquely yours.

As a queer-owned photographer in Edmonton, creating a safe, inclusive space for 2SLGBTQ+ couples, families, and individuals is deeply important to me. Photography should feel affirming, comfortable, and true to who you are.

To launch this ongoing initiative, I’m beginning with Pride Month. Throughout June, I’m offering:

I’m so excited to officially launch Stories for a Cause at Rayne & Co. Photography.

As a photographer in Edmonton, giving back to my community has always been an important part of my work. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering my photography for local causes—from helping rescue organizations find homes for adoptable animals to supporting community initiatives that make a real difference.

Stories for a Cause is my way of making that commitment ongoing.

Each month, a different cause, organization, or community will be featured through specially offered photography sessions. A portion of proceeds from these sessions will be donated directly to organizations supporting important work in our communities.

This initiative is about more than photography—it’s about storytelling, connection, and community impact.

Whether it’s families, couples, individuals, or organizations, I want to use my work to help tell meaningful stories while giving back at the same time.

Found an SD card from my first “real camera”… from when I was 9! Turns out I was already obsessed with documenting everything around me.

Scrolling through these photos felt like a full-circle moment. from shooting nature, self-portraits, and my first wedding (for free 😅) to doing this professionally now. I hope I make her proud 🤍✌🏻
