My name is Kass, and I'm a photographer here in YEG, specializing in lifestyle, weddings, elopements, and family and couples sessions.

FRIENDS! 💛✨

First of all — I’m obsessed with these two more than you know. Jord lovesssss having his photo taken (😉), and can’t WAIT to be back in front of this camera, I just know it. 😂

My life has been so incredibly, beautifully full lately — between teaching full-time, creating classroom resources, ANDDDD advocating for the future of public education, my world has been moving at full speed 🍎✨

Because of that, I’ve decided to take a small step back from photography for now. This isn’t goodbye; just a “see you later.” 🫶🏻 My website has been temporarily disabled + my books are closed.

Photography will always have such a special place in my heart, but right now, my focus is on supporting students and educators and sharing that journey over on my teacher page .

I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who’s trusted me to capture their moments and stories — and I can’t wait to pick my camera back up when the time is right.

One of the toughest parts of being a full time teacher and business owner is finding time to lesson plan, mark, teach AND shoot and edit sessions. That’s where Alex comes in.

Alex has been my best friend for over 10 years. She’s truly a wonderful friend and person; inside and out. She has been shooting weddings alongside me since 2021 + MANY of you have seen her with me at events and sessions throughout the year! She’s been a patient learner, and has learned how to shoot in our iconic CBK style. 👏🏼

She is now an associate photographer for Captured by Kass — meaning she will be shooting sessions and this means I can take on MORE clients and more sessions! 🤍

I wouldn’t back another person representing my beloved business I didn’t 10000% genuinely trust them wholeheartedly to deliver the “Captured by Kass” magic. Alex goes above and beyond for our clients, whether it be a hair fix, dress fluff or guiding you on posing comfortably. I am truly entirely confident you’ll love her just as much as I do. 🤍

This. Day. Was. EVERYTHING 😭🤍

Even though it was insanely hot, (and I’m pretty sure I got heatstroke 😂) it was stunning. Colleen + Michael are such a perfect pair and so unbelievably in love. Their family and friends were all wonderful and so kind, and SO supportive. Truly — we couldn’t have asked to be part of a more perfect wedding day. 🥹🤍

… not me realizing I’ve done over 20 shoots since I posted on this account last.. 🫣

SOOOO here I am oversharing allll of these cute pics of my wonderful friends, reminding you to stay home, read books + drink hot chocolate today. 🥶 But if you must go out, dress warm, put some layers on and only cry about how cold it is once you’re indoors so the tears don’t freeze to your face (and eyelashes! If you know me, you know I love my lashes more than anything hahahaha). 🥶🤍
