These are the shoots that remind me why I started.

I’ve been photographing the Robinson family for four years now, but this connection goes back much further than that. Elva and I were inseparable as kids when we lived around the corner from each other, and somehow, through all the different stages of life, little serendipitous moments kept bringing us back together.

Now I get to document her family as they grow, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

One of the greatest parts of this job is getting to capture the lives of people I care about, year after year. Very grateful for this one. 🤎

While I was back in Ontario last month, I had the chance to photograph this wonderful couple and their very handsome little guy. 🥰

Luca was an absolute joy to have along for the session. All smiles, giggles, and plenty of personality, which made capturing these three together so easy.

Sessions like this are always a good reminder that some of my favourite photos come from simply letting everyone be themselves.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved hearing people's stories.

Not the polished version you'd read on a website or hear in a commercial, but the real ones. The stories about taking a chance, building something from nothing, overcoming setbacks, and finding purpose in what you do.

That's why I created The Perch.

The Perch is a storytelling project dedicated to highlighting the people behind our local businesses. Through portraits, video, and honest conversations, I want to shine a light on the entrepreneurs, creators, and community builders who make our city what it is.

The name itself is personal.

Growing up, my grandparents had a front porch where family, friends, and neighbours would gather. It was a place where conversations happened naturally, where people slowed down and simply enjoyed each other's company. As a kid, I couldn't pronounce "porch," so I called it "The Perch." The name stuck, and years later it felt like the perfect fit for a project built around conversation and connection.

This isn't about marketing a business or promoting a product.

It's about the people.

It's about understanding what inspired someone to take the leap, the challenges they've faced, the lessons they've learned, and what continues to drive them every day.

One of my favourite parts of this project is that every person I interview nominates the next business owner they believe has a story worth sharing. My hope is that The Perch grows through the community itself, one conversation at a time.

Our first two stories are already posted on the new instagram (https://www.instagram.com/theperch.edmonton/), and I can't wait to introduce you to more incredible people.

Pull up a chair. Welcome to The Perch.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at The Marc.

Restaurants have always been places where people gather, connect, celebrate, and create memories. We're proud to be a space where everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to be themselves.

We look forward to sharing many meals, conversations, and celebrations with our community this month and beyond.

Being a photographer is a constant battle of making sure you don't say you're shooting people or capturing people.

Ontario, I’m coming back!

I’ll be splitting my time between Quinte West and Durham Region and opening up a limited number of shoots while I’m there.

I’m offering discounted rates during this trip, so it’s a good time to get something booked in.

I’ll be prioritizing restaurant and bar content, with full social media packages that include photo and video. But I’ll still be taking on families, couples, pets, and events as well.

If you’ve been meaning to update your content, this is your sign.

Message me for details and pricing.

About a month ago I tagged along with to her shoot at to capture BTS for her.

I ended up seeing fixing her hair in the mirror and asked her if I could take photos of her doing it. These photos turned out SO good and I'm in love with her style.

She is an incredible artist as well, so I highly recommend checking out her page.
