responded to a fire on the fourth floor of a building at Ridgewood Gardens in Edmonton’s Weinlos neighbourhood. Th ere have been several fires in this complex many times over the last few years.

Edmonton Fire Photos & Videos focuses on the brave actions, efforts, and commitments of firefighters serving the community. Over the years, we've built strong relationships with firefighters, understanding that they don't seek the spotlight, but very aware how much they, and their loved ones appreciate the content we share. We're grateful for this, and the encouragement we've received from our followers.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by fires. Our videos are meant as information & news, not intended as entertainment; they are raw, with no commentary or music (except for the intro) and we do not monetize videos or profit from any content we post. There is never intent to minimize, or make light of anybody's loss or trauma. We make a concerted effort to avoid recording or photographing anyone other than firefighters and ensure that the identities of those affected at every event are protected.

Today's Desrochers Fire deemed 'suspicious' by Police. Waking up this morning, Global News mentioned some of the units were under construction and that may have been where the fire started. Immediately, I couldn't help but wonder if this fire is related to other intentionally set fires that have occurred in South Edmonton in the recent past.

There is some discrepancy in the number of impacted residents between media outlets (70-100) but regardless of the number, we feel for everyone impacted by this fire and hope everyone is safe.

After launching an investigation, Edmonton police say they are treating the fire as suspicious and are seeking dashcam or security footage.
