Hey everyone… (former midwife from Malachite and founder of The MotherTree Collective: Breastfeeding🤍Motherhood🤍Wellness🤍]) and myself are so excited to be hosting holistic mama groups, starting Feb 1. We will be meeting monthly on the first Wednesday of every month, from 11:30-1pm at the All Birth Centre. And we will be holding space to discuss a different topic of interest every month, such as Baby wearing/attachment m/conscious parenting, Intimacy & Relationships, Cycle & Fertility Awareness, Nutrition for Mom &. Baby, Building your natural home remedies, etc🤍. We would be honoured for you to join us in circle, to share wisdom, connection and more! Thank you beauties Xoxoxo❤️
The first week we will be discussing baby wearing and the benefits and giving you the opportunity to try on different wraps and carriers. We will also be discussing conscious parenting- how to keep our littles close in a detached world.

You can bring your awareness back to your breath and slow your body down. Turn down the lights, put on some music and connect with your partner. Surrender to this transition.

This family found out they had the ‘vid the night before they went into labour sooooo their dreams of another home birth got swept away. They arrived to hospital but kept their birth exactly as they would have if they had been at home. Zero interventions, no extra monitoring, no internal exams and freely moving. They advocated HARD for me to still be present but policy said doulas weren’t allowed due to positive test but they fought for what they needed and voila, I was able to arrive and document their love, their truth, their strength. Through coughs and slight fevers they leaned on one another and supported each other til the end. It was magic. Their love is massive and I was truly honoured to witness their sweet girl enter this world. It may not have been EXACTLY what they wanted but isn’t that a part of labour? Flowing with what is necessary? Advocating for yourself and being educated to do so.

Trust in the process. Surrender to what is. You can do hard things.
This STRONG mama wanted a VBAC and she got exactly that. She listened to her intuition. She advocated for herself and she KNEW she could do it. Believe in yourself and lean on your support system. I am so damn proud to work and walk this journey amongst so many powerful families. 💥 Y’all amaze me every single day.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here and there’s a reason for that…. I am on an extended holiday in Mexico with my fam until the end of April. We needed a change of scenery, we needed to connect as a family and we needed to step away and collectively breathe. The weight of the world has been so heavy and the salt water on our skin and fresh ocean breeze was just what we needed. Not to mention the endless tacos ;) we packed up the kid’s school work and slowed our pace of living. Birth can be hard. It can be messy. It can take you on a wild journey. Sometimes you do allllll the things you’re “supposed” to do to to have an easy delivery. You do all the classes. You meditate. You positively affirm yourself daily. You have your doula present for every moment. You have the most supportive and loving partner ever. And still sometimes you hear the words “we need to get your baby out now. We need to go to the OR” and you breakdown. You wonder how this happened. But I’m here to say that I’m proud of you. I know you worked hard. Your baby worked hard. And for whatever reason, the universe wanted it to happen a different way. It’s ok to grieve. It’s ok to feel all the feelings. It’s ok to lean in and need support. I will hold space and I will lift you up. I see you.
