It's been a little while since we've had a WildWoods Wednesday!

This week, we're manifesting a bull moose for our Algonquin trip this weekend, so I thought it was fitting to share this handsome Texas Longhorn bull who was quite the cooperative subject during the weekend's photo outing! So everyone, as you look at this picture, manifest a Bull Moose in Algonquin with the golden yellows in the background (please and thank you!)

I couldn't decide which version I liked best, so I'm sharing three: colour, black and white, and sepia. Now I need your help! 👀

Wouldn’t you love to know what Momma Fox was telling her kit in this moment? ❤️

It was such an honour to spend a little time (although much too short!) with this pair while visiting Newfoundland. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how special it is to observe wildlife in their natural environment.

After months of choosing images, designing, and probably looking at these photos way too many times 😂, I’m excited to finally share the 2027 calendar collection!

Common Loon | Algonquin Provincial Park | August 2026

There’s really nothing common about these beautiful birds. ❤️

This was taken during our August backcountry trip and when I got home and saw the water droplets - well it was destined to be on the cover of my 2027 Wildlife Calendar! 📷

The calendar proofs arrived yesterday, and I am over the moon excited about this year's calendar. I truly believe these are some of my best yet, and seeing all the images together has made me even more excited to share them with you!

The Little Things - female Ruby Throated Hummingbird, Elgin County

We have three of these little gems still hanging around! Recently their favourite perch has been the old flower stems on the hostas (pictured here). Did you know that the males leave first, followed by the juveniles and females? These cuties will soon make their way south traveling long distances each day. Quite the amazing little creatures they are!

🐧 Thursday Thoughts

Sometimes you open a photo folder and suddenly you’re right back in the moment. ❤️

I popped into my Newfoundland puffin folder while taking a break from calendar creations, and I’m still amazed by the beauty we experienced there.

This little puffin brought back so many memories—and reminded me how lucky I am to have such an amazing community along for this photography journey. 🐧❤️

So I'm sharing a little puffin portrait as a thank-you for coming along for the ride!
