Every year I keep thinking about how fast it goes … from graduating from the NICU to graduating from elementary school within the next week… this one has handled it all with grace and a sweet smile. Yes, there have been bumps in the road, but the journey has been a memorable one so far. And she’s just getting started. 💕

When it’s the first day of spring, but you’re actually still digging out of the latest snowstorm and there’s more snow in the forecast… I’ll live vicariously through my memories of warm summer days!!

I mean, I know spring is coming, but it still seems pretty far off.

So today I’m reminiscing about time spent at watching Laura carefully assemble the most stunning bouquets, surrounded by rows of blooms and warm sunshine. As a photographer, days like that make me miss golden light, outdoor sessions, and those long summer evenings behind the camera.

Counting down to flower fields, warm air, and shooting outside again. 🌸📷☀️

Raising two daughters in today’s world is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Every day I’m reminded that they are growing up in a world that is still learning how to fully value the voices, strength, and leadership of women. So I try to teach them to speak up, be kind, stay curious, and never shrink themselves to fit someone else’s expectations.

Watching them grow into strong, thoughtful young people gives me so much hope for the future.

Today I’m celebrating the women who paved the way, the women walking beside us, and the girls who will shape what comes next.

As I drove home from school a week or so ago the light was hitting the trees *juuuuust right*. I asked these two if they wanted to come outside and take a few pics, and to my surprise they both said yes!!

These days it’s usually one yes and one no, depending on the ask and depending on the day… but this day was a lucky one! ✨

The golden light was perfect. And those trees?! Chef’s kiss. 😘

I now wish I had set up some fall sessions as these leaves are falling quickly… but hey, November is pretty awesome for photos too you know! 😉

Glad I pulled out my camera to get a shot of the harvest moon last night because tonight is nothing but clouds and drizzle.
