These people… so completely at ease with each other and so in love 🥰 They were connected, and fully present. No overthinking, no rushing — just a couple enjoying a slow evening together while I quietly documented it all. These are the kinds of shoots that remind me why I love what I do: honest moments, good light, and people who trust the process.

We spent the evening in overlooking the most stunning views— the ocean below us, the Olympic Mountains stretching out in the distance, fields and forest. It was one of those locations where the landscape adds something unspoken to the story, and these two brought it to life just by being themselves.

I loved capturing these two in a slow and relaxed way. Dancing on the dock, canoeing, chatting in between shots, walking around, and taking in the scenery as the sun set.

We’ve known this special couple for some time now and they are soon to be married 🥹 It was special to capture them in a place that has so many memories for them and where more will be made as they start this new chapter in their life!

I’ll forever love black-and-white because it pulls you straight into the moment—no distractions, just the couple and their connection.

It’s not about what they’re wearing or where they are… it’s about that raw emotion. The way they look at each other, laugh together, hold hands without even thinking—it’s those in-between moments that hit the hardest.

As a photographer, the most important thing to me is to freeze those real, vulnerable moments —because that’s what’s worth documenting and what’s truly worth holding onto as a keepsake.

B&W just has a way of stripping it all back and letting the feeling speak for itself.

So yes, you’ll always get a handful of black-and-white photos in your gallery, because I want you to look back and feel the emotion, not just see the image. It’s the kind of timeless that never goes out of style. 🖤
