Beetles photographed up close are something else.

The colours, patterns and tiny details are exactly why photographing them makes me so happy.

Which one is your favourite from 2 to 20?

This tiny frog gave me just a few seconds to get the shot. 🐸

I found this yellow-striped poison frog while exploring the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador during my visit to Yarina Eco Lodge.

These tiny frogs are ridiculously difficult to photograph because they rarely stop moving. Luckily, this one stayed still just long enough for me to use a dead leaf from the forest floor as a natural backdrop and capture this portrait.

One of my favourite things about macro and wildlife photography is getting close enough to discover the incredible little creatures hiding in plain sight.

Some of my favourite photos from over the years. Some taken close to home, others thousands of kilometres away.

A lot of these images and the stories behind them made their way into Tiny Titans, my upcoming book.

Now I’m curious β€” which one is your favourite?

We rarely think about how much of our lives depends on insects, spiders and other arthropods.

They pollinate plants, recycle nutrients, break down waste, improve soil, control other species and provide food for countless animals. Each one has a role, and together they help keep ecosystems functioning.

We tend to notice the biggest animals first, while some of the most important work in nature is being done by creatures small enough to walk past without a second glance.

This is a huge part of why I created Tiny Titans β€” to bring you closer to this overlooked world and show why these tiny lives matter.

Tiny Titans is available November 10. Preorder through the link in my bio.
