This week, I caught myself chasing instant gratification. The very moment God answered one of my prayers, I hurried past it—already reaching for the next worry, the next request, the next unknown.
But then I was stilled. And in that quiet, I had to ask myself: how could I be so ungrateful, so quick to diminish what God had just done in our lives? He moved in ways that touched our future, answered prayers that once weighed heavily on my heart—and I treated them as though they were small, as though I had forgotten their burden.
It was a humbling revelation, exposing the pride I carry, the quiet sense of entitlement, the righteousness I so easily assume.
So here’s to learning to remain present—to remember how small I am, and how great our God is. To give Him the praise He is due, not just in hindsight, but in the moment itself.
For He is faithful, and He is good, and He is love.
