We finally made it to one of my bucket list locations last month In Havasu, deep in the Grand Canyon๐Ÿ˜ƒ! I started to look to get a permit for hiking to this location about 5-6 years ago and I finally got my permit in early 2020, which was then delayed for 3 years. The 36 km strenuous hike in and out of this region along with our 4 days of camp gear on our backs was well worth the trip. We came to this spot for 3 sunrises and 3 sunsets and the last morning the thin clouds got a glimpse of pink hue from the rising sun. Shortly after this image was taken, we hiked out because of an incoming storm which then became a dangerous flash flood. We were lucky to get this view before this unfortunate event. If you look closely into the image, you will notice my good friend down near the waterfall and it gives you a sense of how big this waterfall actually is. Hoping for more future travels like these in the near future!!! โ ๐ŸŒ„

Some places are beautiful but not photogenic, while other places are photogenic but not as beautiful. Morraine lake is both stunning and photogenic. I keep thinking how amazing it would have been to be the first person to discover this area.
We have spent many early mornings here at Morraine Lake to catch the golden light without much success in previous years. To get a spot here at sunrise, you almost need to go before 3:00 am now since the parking is full shortly after (Parking lot was full at 3:30 am the previous day). The extra effort makes this image even more special for us. As I have mentionned in my previous post, we have stayed up all night, photographing the sunset, the stars, and finally this here for the sunrise. Our goal was to get a good image here to print and hang it up in our dining area. We are quite happy with this one. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ”

Moraine Lake is still one of our personal favorite places to visit in the world. I had planned a special shot for this location and it ended up aligning very well with the weather during our stay in the rockies. This shot was taken between 11 pm to 4 am, where the moon light up the mountains. I stayed up all night but I am very happy with the results. โ
This shot will be printed in limited copies for those of you who are interested. โ

This shot was taken at night in St-Andrews, NB. While looking for different subjects to photograph under the Milky Way, I found this charming windmill in Kingsbrae garden. This shot was taken between 2-4 am this past summer. If you haven't been to St Andrews, I would highly recommend visiting this small town, as well as the garden in the summer. If you are looking for any artwork for gifts this year, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

So it's been a while since my last post once again, but it is not because we haven't been out to photograph the Atlantic region. This shot was taken this summer in Fogo island. It's a small little island in northern Newfoundland with lot's of charm. They also have a couple of very appealing architectural studios that are worth going out to find. This little red cabin was in Joe Batt's Arm harbour during sunset. The still water with clear reflections are amongst my favorite things to photograph. Across the street from this red cabin is also a great artist, Adam Young. He has amazing paintings with many of these little colourful shacks that you need to visit if you get all the way up here. Check out his work at www.ayoungstudios.com.

If you are looking for any gift ideas, please feel free to contact us as well at [email protected].

We are back with new content! This past year we have focused more of our time in the maritimes with our son. We have created great memories and we will share some epic locations in the maritimes over the next couple of weeks. This first image needs no introduction, being Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. The rocks here are one of my favourite features. They appear soft and almost polished from the harsh ocean. At the time of this capture, Hurricane Henry was approaching and the waves were impressive. Make sure to stop by the restaurant and taste their lobster roll! ๐Ÿ˜‹

NIGHTLIFE

Las Vegas, the city that never stops. Although, Vegas is known for its nightlife, I found it very calm and peaceful to shoot. The ''Strip'' has wonderful features and how can you not love the ''Iconic'' Bellagio fountain. What a gem!
