I thought it would be time for me to check in and give an update. Not to complain or look for sympathy but just for knowledge for info incase god forbid this happen to anyone else. I speak on behalf of most of us who lost our homes probably majority. We get asked everyday when we are building or getting a new home, and I’m glad you all ask. So here’s my situation as to date. We don’t know. The cards aren’t in our hands. We cannot make a move or move on. There’s no deadline, there’s no money amount we know we have or can work with. It’s all out of our hands. Insurance decides our future. When, how much, and what to build. If I could go get a Mortgage on my own and buy an rtm and set it on my land I would. We cannot make a move. Looks like we missed the boat to start with a builder this year so another year for sure. The rent we pay is what comes off our build. So $30,000 I paid this year, yes insurance pays that but that comes off my house build. So as time goes by who knows how long. Just wanted to make that clear, that yes insurance pays that rent but that will be us paying it in the end. So please think about that with the less fortunate who won’t end up with enough to build and hense the reason people are selling they can’t afford to rebuild. We all want to move on so we can grieve properly and start our new life. We all are in purgatory and state of uncertainty. But please keep asking those questions. They say we all have a choice about anything, always. No matter what. This is one we do not have a choice in. Our future. Love you all.
