I can still hear the chatter and echos of everyone even though it’s completely empty. Going home hit me like a ton of bricks emotionally. Thought my Leafers who hadn’t been back would appreciate these. Also, the design and architecture beauty I’ll always admire. Nothing like it by Architect: Leslie Joseph “Les” Stechesen . First ever to receive the Winnipeg Architecture Legacy Award. As Tyson said when you walk tgrough that building. Its like a movie set and the ghostly memories come flooding back. You can feel old friends and family moving past you and hear faint echoes of the life lived inside that building. You feel like if you just go around one more corner they will be there. But you never find them. You leave happy that you got to see it and that its in such good shape. Sad that you couldnt find your friends there anymore. Thankful for the memories created there.
