Turns out I'm horrible at making time to edit when I'm travelling. Pulling out the computer is always the last thing I want to do, so apologies for the radio silence over here!

Nonetheless, here's a 9 shot pano taken about a week ago in Scotland. The irony of this image is that we travelled around the Isle of Skye for over a week, but I took this while standing inside the living room of my rental one morning, tooth brushing stopped mid cleaning to capture the light.

The premiere of Season 39 of The Amazing Race aired this week, which means I can finally share a few photos from the two days I spent shooting stills for their kick-off episode in Vancouver last year.

This was my first time working on a project like this, and I had an absolute blast chasing the teams around the city. As a longtime fan of the show, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how everything comes together was pretty cool, they really are a well-oiled machine.

From walking the catwalk high above BC Place to standing at the infamous check-in map with Phil, I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it. Such a fun experience and definitely one for the books!

LAUNCHING TOMORROW! The Green Room fresh hop IPA - 5pm at Ace brewing.

For the third year in a row, we’re super stoked to celebrate the latest collaboration between Ace Brewing, Shorewolf Farm and the United Riders of Cumberland. A fresh hop pale ale called "The Green Room" in honour of the lush, green forests and our incredible trail network we're so lucky to enjoy.

Brewed with fresh hops from Shorewolf Farms in Black Creek, this b**r is as local and vibrant as it gets. The hops were harvested and within hours, were in the brew process to lock in the bold, fresh flavours making this a true celebration of local excellence.

Be the first to taste Ace Brewing's latest masterpiece: Join UROC and Ace for the official launch party at Ace Brewing, in Courtenay on Friday, October 2nd from 5-8pm. It’s going to be a super fun evening.

All the parties will be on-site giving away some rad prizes and celebrating the release including a limited edition Green Room tshirts!

For every can or pint sold, $1 goes directly to UROC to support our local trail network.

Huge thanks Ace Brewing for supporting to Sarah Kempner for the photo, to Roam Media for the label design and to Shorewolf Farms for all those fresh fresh hops!

The Green Room will be available on tap and in cans, at Ace Brewing and select liquor stores across the Island - perfect for that well-earned post-ride pint.

A few highlights of many from a trip with Wildcoast Adventures last month on their Whales, Wildlife & Wilderness Kayak Trip.

After a night on Quadra Island, we went on a four hour zodiac tour where we saw orcas, humpbacks, a black bear and lots of other sea life. We were then dropped off at our first camp, which was already set up for us. We had a safety briefing and a short practice paddle which was followed by an amazing dinner while we got to know everybody.

For the next few days, we kayaked at a leisurely pace, camped at secluded beaches, and ate absolutely amazing food made by the guides. We cooled off with ocean swims and spent night nights under starry skies. Most of the time we were blissfully out of service which allowed for full relaxation mode while at camps.

A huge thanks to my kayak guides Georgia and Gab, zodiac tour guide Zoe, and Wildcoastadventures and Campbell River Whale Watchingfor having me out ❤️

Looking forward to being back in the village of Gjógv in the Faroe Islands next month with OFFBEAT!

Around this time a couple of years ago I was headed to Namibia for a once in a lifetime trip. An incredibly diverse country, Namibia hosts many unique areas to explore. One of such is Deadvlei.

Deadvlei, (translated to "dead marsh"), was once fed by the Tsauchab River, until shifting dunes cut off the water source roughly 900 years ago. These camel thorn trees died but didn’t decompose in the extremely dry climate, leaving them petrified in the desert. Walking through the dunes and seeing this area for the first time felt like walking onto a movie set. The way the light reflected off the dunes above the clay pan gave everything a painterly feeling.
