✨ Part II: Marjorie & Chris | June 6, 2026

And just like that… we were celebrating Marjorie & Chris in the heart of Victoria’s Chinatown. ❤️🧧✨

Their wedding day continued at Don Mee Seafood Restaurant with a traditional Chinese banquet reception filled with vibrant colour, incredible food, family, and so many meaningful traditions.

The evening began with a beautiful Chinese tea ceremony, honouring their families and heritage, with a few special Filipino traditions woven into the celebration as well! The evening felt completely unique to them and such a beautiful reflection of their love story. ❤️✨

And remember when I said in Part I that I wasn’t prepared for what I was about to walk into?! THIS is what I meant. 😍 The florals, the red and gold details, the lanterns, the outfits, the energy… every corner of the room was absolutely breathtaking.

We even snuck away for a few dreamy portraits through the historic streets of Chinatown which felt like the perfect way to wrap up such an incredible day. ✨

Marjorie & Chris, thank you again for inviting me into such a meaningful celebration and trusting me to document not only your love, but all of the traditions, people, and little moments that made your wedding so uniquely yours. 🥹❤️

Only Hailey & Michael could make a summer lake session look THIS good. 🌊🎞️✨

After flying in from Ontario to elope amongst the mountains of BC, we decided to keep the adventure going a few days later and explore a little more of Vancouver Island together.

We started at Cathedral Grove (pics coming soon 👀🌲✨) and ended the evening at Cameron Lake, just as the sun was disappearing behind the mountains… and somehow I managed to convince these two to jump in the lake fully clothed. 😂

Bare feet, wet clothes, cold water + one hell of a Vancouver Island summer night. ⛰️✨

Safe to say these two fully embraced the West Coast while they were here, and I had way too much fun being their unofficial Vancouver Island tour guide along the way. 😂🗺️📷

Hailey & Michael travelled all the way from Ontario to Vancouver Island BC with one dream: to exchange their vows surrounded by the mountains of the West Coast. 🏔️✨

So, they stood on the shoreline of Buttle Lake in Strathcona Provincial Park as golden sunlight broke through the clouds, lit up the peaks, and gave them the kind of moment you simply can’t plan.

Safe to say… Vancouver Island exceeded every expectation that had. 😍🌲

And if you look closely at the very first photo, you’ll even spot a flock of Canadian geese swimming past, moments after crashing the ceremony. Honestly, I can’t think of more iconic wedding crashers for a Vancouver Island elopement. 🪿😂

Congratulations to Hailey & Michael. Thank you for trusting me to document such an intimate, adventurous beginning to your forever. I’ll seriously never get over this one. 🥹📷

Chris grew up here in Victoria before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he met and fell in love with Marjorie, a true, born & raised Cali girl. 🌴☀️

Their wedding day began at the beautiful in the heart of downtown Victoria, where they shared the sweetest first look above the koi pond. 🎏 Between the lush greenery, the soft light, and the peaceful atmosphere, it honestly felt like something straight out of a fairytale. 🌿✨

Their wedding day beautifully blended two distinct aesthetics and traditions. The first half embraced a more modern, Christian ceremony filled with quiet, intimate moments, while the evening transformed into a traditional Chinese banquet rich with culture, family, and meaningful traditions. It was such a beautiful way to honour both sides of their story. ❤️🧧

Also… can we PLEASE talk about this bouquet?! 😍🌸 I was already completely obsessed the second I saw it… and then I walked into the reception. Let’s just say I wasn’t prepared! 😂 Just wait until you see Part II. 👀✨

I absolutely love helping my couples dream up an engagement sessions that feel real and true to their love story, instead of just showing up somewhere to take nice photos. ✨

For Jenna & Ryan, that looked like a cozy picnic on the sandy shoreline of Little Mexico in Comox, BC with some snacks, their family heirloom crib board, and soaking in the panoramic ocean/mountain views together. Nothing over the top, just a simple evening spent doing what they love most. 🃏🧀🍇🤍

Needless to say, I’m already counting down the days until I get to capture their dreamy wedding day later this summer. I already know it’s going to be one for the books! 🥹💍

If anyone can make a rainy wedding day look absolutely magical, it’s Kiana & Thomas. ☔️✨

As soon as their ceremony came to an end, the clouds rolled in, the mountains disappeared beneath the mist, and the rain began to fall. Instead of letting it slow them down, Kiana & Thomas embraced every single moment, frolicking through the fields beneath a clear umbrella as the rain fell around them, creating some of the dreamiest images of the day. ☔️📷

This wedding held an extra special place in my heart because Kiana was my closest cousin growing up. Capturing such a meaningful chapter in both Kiana & Thomas’s story was something I’ll always be forever grateful for. 🥹🤍

These are just a handful of sneak peeks from their beautiful day at in Port Alberni BC, and trust me… there’s so much more magic to come. 🎞️✨

Still swooning over this magical forest engagement session for Isabell and Liam. 🌲💍✨

I had so much fun chasing waterfalls and the dreamy evening light with these two. They were an absolute joy to photograph, and of course, sweet lil Pippin made sure he had his moment in the spotlight too. 🐶🐾 I absolutely love when couples bring their fur babies along for their sessions!! They’re such a big part of their story. I think it’s safe to say Pippin is officially a part-time model now. 😂📷

I already know their wedding day later this summer is going to be sooo beautiful, and I cannot wait to capture the next chapter of their love story. 📸✨
