Christmas Backdrops — I need your help! 🎄

I’m starting to get things together for Christmas minis and I’m having a hard time narrowing down the backdrops this year 😂

So before I make any decisions, I want to hear from YOU!

Here are some of the backdrops I’m considering so far. Which one is your favourite? Is there one you absolutely love? Or is there something completely different you’d like to see?

Are you more into the cozy kitchen, a Christmas living room, an outdoor/farm setup… or something I haven’t even thought of yet?

And what about the colours — rich and traditional, lots of colour, neutral, or just little pops of Christmas?

If you’ve booked Christmas minis with me before, you know I love switching things up each year, so I’d really love your input! ❤️

I’m planning my Fall Minis and Christmas Minis, and the schedules will be coming soooon….like this weekend soon!

But before I get too far into planning Christmas, I want to hear from you!

What kind of Christmas setup would you like to see this year?

Would you prefer:

* A Christmas kitchen
* A cozy living room
* An outdoor/farm Christmas setup
* Something simple and traditional
* Something with richer Christmas colours
* Neutral and soft
* Or mostly neutral with just little pops of colour?

Or maybe something completely different?

I have a few ideas of my own, but I’d really love to hear what you guys would actually like to see this year.

It's been a little quiet around here lately, but I promise things haven't been quiet behind the scenes. ❤️

From beautiful weddings and graduation celebrations to family memories and everything in between, I've had the privilege of spending time with some incredible people and doing what I love most.

Here are just a few of my favourite images from recent sessions (so so many more that I will share soon). Every photo tells a story, and I'm so grateful to everyone who trusted me to capture theirs.

Just wanted to give everyone a little update.

I’ve been dealing with some ongoing health issues for a while now and have been trying my best to keep up with everything, but after an ER visit last night and more testing ahead, I know I need to acknowledge that things may be moving a little slower than usual for me right now.

This may cause some delays in editing, galleries, and messages over the next little while. Please know I’m still working and doing my best, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, kindness, and support more than you know. I hope to be feeling better soon and back to my regular routine.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there 🤍

Being a mom is honestly the hardest, most exhausting, emotional, beautiful thing all at the same time.

Some days you feel like you’re absolutely crushing it and other days you’re hiding in the bathroom for five minutes of peace wondering if you’re messing your kid up somehow.

But one thing I know for sure after years behind the camera… your kids adore you.

They don’t see the things you criticize about yourself. They just see mom. Their safe place. Their person.

So this is your reminder to get in the photos too. Even if you don’t feel ready. Even if you want to lose weight first. Even if you’re tired.

Years from now those photos will mean everything to them.

Thank you for supporting Roo Roo Photography and for trusting me with your families and memories over the years. I truly love getting to watch your babies grow up in front of my camera.

Patrick absolutely understood the assignment and made this setup look even more magical. From the tiny cap to that proud smile, this one was the perfect first graduation moment to bring this backdrop to life. ✨
