This AI video was created by two photos. Ai is scary I don’t plan on making a habit of using it in this way, but it’s better to know how to adjust with the technology that keeps advancing. I will be super transparent when it comes to AI images on my page. I believe it is a great tool but with great power comes great responsibility.

I’m currently based in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, originally from Summerside, Prince Edward Island, and I travel wherever this journey takes me. I’ve been behind the camera since 2009, and photography isn’t just my job — it’s something I truly love. I’m a proud member of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), and when I’m not creating, I’m spending time with my family, traveling, exploring other art outlets, or gaming. My daughter Lilly absolutely loves snakes, and it was her idea to do a photoshoot with one, how could I say no! A huge thank you to from bringing her reptiles, Waldo(corner snake) Beefcake (bearded dragon) and zebra (leopard gecko). Lilly had the best time and learned so much!

Hi,
I'm Kayla Butler, I am a fine art and portrait photographer located out of Atlantic Canada.
I was born and raised in Summerside, PEI, When I was 16 I got my first DSLR and I was on top of the world. I felt like I could create anything. Since drawing portraits from a young age I gravitated to photographing people. After the sudden loss of my Mother when I was 19 I figure it was the best to start a new journey and go on to College.
I attended Holland college in 2014 and took their two year Photography and Digital imaging program. Then and there I met people I knew I would be connected to the rest of my life. the first year we primarily used film and learned how to develop and process in a dark room. after that we learned natural light, studio lighting and anything you could possibly need to know to venture into any field.
Why in my two years I worked with many amazing and talented photographers, my two instructors Alex Murchison, and Jean-Sebastian Duchesne, we had great mentors come in and teach workshops such as Denis Duquette, Dave Brosha, Louise Vessey and Yvonne Duivenvoorden. In the second year of study I had the great opportunity to go to Toronto to intern with Mike Lewis, Billie Chiasson, and Carlos & Alyse who are incredible fashion photographers. the year was coming to an end with a three day long workshop with the PPOC where I received the award of “student photographer of the year in Atlantic Canada.”
fast forward to today I am currently living in Corner Brook, Newfoundland with a studio producing all sorts of creative work with the most amazing people. drop me a link if you would like to work with me.
