When I saw the horses come through the gap I wanted to try capture the full scale of the countryside here.
Up close, the charging herd dominates the space; but when you step back, their powerful presence is dwarfed by the sheer vastness of their environment.

One overcast morning, rain threatened and the mist was blanketing the hillside giving light where there should have been darkness. The horses were resting peacefully in the corner of the paddock, 2 standing guard over the third who laid down for a nap.
Such a beautiful place.

I think Cedar Waxwings are my favorite birds. So elegant - almost like they’re not real. I often see them around but I’ve never had a chance to see them up close until I surprised them in my garden recently. 🥰🐦‍⬛
