Photography has been such a gift. I do it for several reasons but the main one is simple for ME. Beauty hunting is my favourite thing to do and a camera has allowed me to really see it all very clearly.

I’m chillin out in a very low vibration at the moment. Pausing and holding space for clarity and creativity. It’s okay to not sprint off the start line of a New Year. I know the direction I’d like my work to go in 2023 but I’m just not feeling a real sense of urgency. So I will just sit quietly and wait.

But I will say, Thank you to each and every individual who has connected with me, stepped in front of my lens and supported me. This little dream of mine has been the most fulfilling journey thus far.

A lot of new faces on here so I’d like to say a quick Hello.

I’m Ash, the gal behind the IG page and camera.

Let’s get to know one another a bit more. Random facts style.

Quite time in my home recharges me, I can get “people’d out” and have to be mindful of where my energy is going.

I am 36 and have three boys (11, 9 & 5). This often surprises people.

I will sometimes put cheez-wiz on my homemade sourdough. Seems wrong but taste delicious.

I recently stepped in front of lens, felt amazing. Highly recommend.

Coming up with random facts about myself is way harder then it “should” be. Very interesting.

Follow natures lead, and hibernate. Slow down.

I know it feels incomprehensible with our busy schedules, “the hustle and bustle” of the season, but what if it could be different. A season where we choose simple and stillness. Pull our busy minds back to be present in the moment that is right now. I’ve found that it’s not something that comes easily, not to me at least. It takes conscious effort to stop my mind from darting to what has been and what will be. To just stop for a second, look around and take in what’s good, what brings me joy. It doesn’t have to be a grand acknowledgment or a big moment. It can be tiny and easily missed, but if slow down enough, you’re sure to see it. ✨

Try getting a bit personal. Bring in items that offer a story about you.

In case it was her favourite magazine and a bag that belonged to her Father. When I commented on how much I loved it she was able to share a really cool story with me about it and him.

These items create connection and are the details I love most about story telling in Branding Photography.
