Take me d o w n t o w n ✨

Something I’ve tried my best to do recently is chat with my couples about places that are meaningful to them. As photographers, we are full of the same location recommendations - ofcourse I know where to take you! But what’s better is where you take ME.

Take me to where your story began. Where did you start writing the first chapter? Perhaps it was a quiet stroll on a downtown busy street - butterflies building in your stomach; the feeling of something new.

Where do you love to go together? Where can you be yourselves together? And where do you feel the most comfortable? Maybe it’s inside of small brewery where the barkeep knows your name and where all of the world’s patterns seem to fall away when you’re side by side on barstools.

Thats where I want to shoot. Wherever you’ve written and are writing your story.

Portraits of a girl (and her stunning florals)

I have so much from this day that I want to share but I had to share this section first.

As soon as I stepped foot into this bridal suite and met Mackenzie - I knew the original vision for this day had completely changed for me. Coming to Cranberry Creek - Private Wedding & Event Venue in the fall always has my mind full of fall colour ideas; but as soon as I saw this bride, her dress, her shoes and her vibe… I knew I had to channel something different.

This bridal suite offered so much natural light and I really wanted to play with it. I used a mix of the artificial lighting and natural lighting of-course but.. I am obsessed with the dark editorials we captured.

And the florals? I can’t even begin to explain the magic that ap.floral created here. This is just a small glimpse of all the work he did (ALONE BTW) and I can’t wait to share more his stunning creations.

A day full of emotion where your kids are there to help you get ready, your grandparents get to be the first to see you all done up pre ceremony AND you get the BEST cotton candy golden hour you could have ever hoped for? How could you ask for an even better day.

Blessed to know you .68 and so happy to have been a part of the most special day of your life!

There is something real special about getting to photograph the beginning of a whole new life; soon to enter the earth.

But there’s something even more special when you get to capture one of your friends - alongside her best friend Otis 🐾

Photography has given me so many gifts but the best by far is the friendships I’ve made along the way.

I met Kait way back when I first started what I thought was going to be a little hobby. She has supported me year after year, and she’s now become a part of my circle. I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow and thrive in not only business but also in her love life - and this milestone is one I am truly treasuring.

Kait was one of my first real “hey I made it!” sessions during a model call I posted years ago. She went on to attend my baby shower, and sell me my first house. And now I get to watch her family grow. All because of this space I created - Dani | Cambridge Wedding & Lifestyle Photographer . A friend found within the magic of a *business* I never thought I’d start. I will forever be in awe of her drive, her success, her triumph; but most importantly, her heart.

I am over the moon happy for you my girl ❤️ you are going to be the best mama.

I always keep my mini days short and sweet! So these four slots will book up fast!

The type of love story that they write novels about 🤎

Nolan reached out to me about a special private proposal he wanted to make to his girlfriend of a year and half, Kyla. You see - he was crazy about her; and so everything had to be perfect.

After just buying their first home, Nolan remembered that Kyla had found a cute little greenhouse backyard setting one day while scrolling through instagram. He took it upon himself to message the owner and ask her if she’d host her backyard as the very place he’d ask Kyla to marry him.

Leading up to this day, Nolan spent hours, even days, going over every single detail. “I just want this to be perfect!” “I’m so nervous.” I could tell that this sweet guy had put so much thought into who we wanted to spend forever with.

Of course, she said YES! 💍

And then we pranced around the gardens and captured their genuine love. I was honoured to be a part of it.

And the zip tie? Kyla made a joke when they first started dating that she didn’t care about a ring and would say yes to him if he proposed with a zip tie. Well he remembered that sweet little detail; and made sure to bring one with him just for that memory’s sake.

Such a special evening with these two beautiful souls. I am so happy and over the moon for them!
