THE LOST MUSICIAN - SHORT FILM [THRILLER/DRAMA] [EN]

This film follows a musician struggling with the grief of losing his longtime girlfriend to alcoholism. As he tries to deal with her loss, he also finds himself facing depression, addiction, and parts of his own past that he has never really dealt with.

This isn’t a story about a quick recovery or finding an easy answer. It’s about the messy, complicated process of trying to find yourself again after everything falls apart.

The memories of his time with her are painful, but they also represent a time when he felt alive and happy. As he retreats into the woods, he begins to confront those memories and the person he once was before everything changed.

For him, this journey isn't necessarily about forgetting her or moving on. It’s about understanding what happened, coming to terms with the past, and finding some kind of peace within himself.

Sometimes, closure isn't about getting the ending you wanted. Sometimes, it simply means learning how to live with what remains.

MARITIME PROFILES - EP1 - UN GARS DU BOIS [FR]

’ai eu la chance de passer une journée avec Michel Lagacé, et c’est une histoire que j’avais vraiment envie de raconter.

Michel travaille dans les bois depuis l’âge de 13 ans. Aujourd’hui, à 74 ans, il est toujours là, à faire ce qu’il fait depuis plus de six décennies. Pour lui, la coupe de bois n’est pas seulement un métier, c’est un véritable mode de vie.

Dans ce court documentaire, je vous accompagne aux côtés de Michel pendant une journée typique, en captant le travail, les moments de tranquillité et le savoir-faire qu’on acquiert après toute une vie passée en forêt. C’est un regard sur une tradition qui se fait de plus en plus rare, et sur un homme dont la passion et l’éthique de travail sont restées intactes au fil des années.

J’espère que vous apprécierez ce petit aperçu de l’univers de Michel autant que j’ai aimé le filmer.

I had the chance to spend a day with Michel Lagacé, and it's a story I really wanted to share.
