With a torn heart and endless tears I had to say good bye to my Heart Dog. My wingman, my best boy the love of my life. Gunner:aka Meathead. His hips were bad, but tonight he took a tumble off his ramp and could no longer get up and walk on his own. It’s about quality of life for my pups and always has been. not quantity and he deserved to have a quality life. Not being able to walk is not for my boy. He loved to play and run and roll logs. That was his life. My house is quiet, even with the bulldog snoring on Gunners bed. ( she went there immediately after we got home from saying goodbye). Yes she got to say goodbye to him also. The house feels empty and I keep wondering where he is. 11 and a half years IS NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!! I’m not going to post death pictures. I want his life celebrated. This is the last time he got to play with his pool. Just a few short weeks ago. This is the pup I want you to remember. This is the boy I will remember. Silly and playful and goofy. Run pain free my boy. Be with my father. He will keep you company til I can be with you again. I will miss you my baby boy. Always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😢
