This newborn session was a special one.
Baby James doesn't know it yet, but I first met his mom when she was about the same age as my own teenage daughter is now. Over the years, I photographed her family, watching everyone grow, change, and create a lifetime of memories together.
And now, all these years later, it was her turn to walk through my studio doors with a newborn baby of her own.
Being trusted to capture James's tiny features, sleepy snuggles, and brand-newness for his family to remember forever was such an honour. Moments like this are a beautiful reminder of just how quickly the years pass and how precious these memories become.
That said... when I realized I was photographing the baby of someone I once photographed as a child, I felt both incredibly honoured AND a little bit elderly at the same time. 😂
Also, can we all just pause for a moment and agree that Grandparents way back in my day didn't look nearly as 🔥 as these two grandparents do!? 😍
Welcome to the world, sweet James. My heart was full meeting you and your big Sister. I can't wait to watch you grow! ❤️
