If you were anywhere near this grad session, you probably would have heard me repeating the same thing over and over:

"Lucy, you're so beautiful!"

Seriously though, how could I not? šŸŒø

Between the gorgeous blossoms, the sunshine, and Lucy absolutely glowing, this session felt like something straight out of a dream. Every time I lifted my camera, she gave me another beautiful image to capture.

It's officially grad season, and that means I get a front-row seat to one of life's biggest milestones!

This is beautiful Alissa, and I had the privilege of capturing her (and her friends) graduation photos. šŸŽ“

Can we just take a moment to appreciate what a huge accomplishment graduation really is? Years of classes, assignments, exams, early mornings, late nights, and probably more caffeine (for some people šŸ˜‰) than anyone should admit. It all leads to this moment.

Congratulations, Alissa and all the grads of 2026! You all should be so proud of everything you've accomplished. ā¤ļø

Now excuse me while I spend the next few weeks wondering how every grad I photograph somehow looks like they stepped out of a magazine.

The next part of this incredible wedding in Portugal šŸ¤

The Western celebration had such a timeless, relaxed feel. An entire day to gather, celebrate, and take it all in. Kali in her white dress looked stunning, and Luke, so handsome and always looking over at his bride. Itā€™s the kind of quiet, steady connection that speaks for itself.

After a few uncertain days, the weather showed up at just the right time, giving us the perfect setting for everything to unfold. The day felt easy in the best way... full of real moments, lots of laughter, and space to just be present. And one of the most memorable detailsā€¦ a wedding cake made entirely of cheese šŸ§€ (I'll share that in a later post).

Some moments deserve their own spaceā€”and this was one of them.

Kali in this dress, with every detail so intentionally chosen, standing in the middle of the Douro Valleyā€¦ it didnā€™t feel real. This is one of those places you truly have to experienceā€”the kind of beauty that photos just canā€™t quite hold onto. No matter how hard you try.

But as stunning as everything looked, what stood out even more was who they are.

Kali is one of the most thoughtful people Iā€™ve ever met. The kind of person who is constantly aware of everyone around her. Even during her own ceremony, she was quietly glancing over at friends and family, making sure everyone was okay, comfortable, taken care of. Itā€™s just who she is.

And Luke, someone I hadnā€™t properly met before this, immediately felt familiar. Warm, easy, welcoming. The kind of person who makes you feel like you belong without trying. We were teasing each other within minutes, which tells you everything. But beyond that, I watched him all week stepping up, taking charge behind the scenes, making things happenā€¦ and then turning around and sincerely thanking the people helping. Confident, kind, and grounded in a way thatā€™s rare.

Together, they just make sense.
Equal parts kind, loving, adventurous, and fun.

Okay, itā€™s been just over a week since this incredible wedding in Portugal, and Iā€™m still feeling everything.

There will definitely be a few posts coming because, for me, it was three full daysā€”but for Kali and Luke, it was nearly a whole week of celebrations. Each day had its own ceremony, its own energy, its own meaning.

I donā€™t even know how to fully put into words how grateful I am that Kali and Luke trusted me with something so important. Itā€™s such a huge honour to be invited into a space like that, let alone be the one capturing it all in a whole different continent!

This first post is for the Hindu ceremony. It ended up being such a wild day weather-wiseā€”rainy, windy, everythingā€”but right as the ceremony finished, the rain stopped and a rainbow appeared for a few minutes. Just enough time to catch a few photos. It felt kind of perfect.

I was honestly so moved by the ceremony. There was this beautiful mix of joy and meaningā€”music, colour, tradition, all woven together. So many symbolic moments: offerings, rituals, the joining of their families, and the two of them literally being tied together and walking forward side by side in front of everyone they love.

I definitely cried behind my camera more than once. It was one of the most powerful ceremonies Iā€™ve ever witnessed.

Avoid slide #5 if you are allergic to šŸ‘. A few weeks ago during our cold snap and hoar frost days, Hannah thought it would be a great time to go out, get undressed and get some beautiful and tastefully spicey pictures done.

Hannah did not complain once about being almost naked in -20 degree weather, she is a true, very tough Canadian!

I love how these turned out. So much energy, power and confidence in each picture! We kept them classy and tasteful, with a beautiful touch of nature! .gcrowell , thank you for trusting me with these! You knocked it out of the park!
