I’ve been sitting with how (and if) I wanted to share this—but it feels like the right time for a gentle update.
This season of life has been teaching me how important it is to take care of myself—so I can take better care of my family, and the people who trust me with their stories. My word this year is self-care, not as a goal to “achieve,” but as a way of moving through my work and life with more intention.
With that has come some clarity.
2026 will be my last official year photographing weddings. I do still have a handful of weddings booked in 2027, and I am fully committed to giving each of those couples the same thoughtful, intentional experience I always have. This decision comes from a place of listening—to my energy, my creativity, and what feels most aligned moving forward.
I’ll continue saying yes to elopements, and my focus will grow around families, couples, and brand photography—work that allows me to slow down, connect deeply, and create in a way that feels sustainable.
Thank you for being here, for your support, and for allowing me the space to evolve. I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead!
With love, Melanie Xx
