Fall family sessions are officially booking! 🍂

And a little reminder about my minis — because they’re probably not quite what you picture when you hear “mini session.”

I don’t stack families back-to-back every 20 minutes in one predetermined spot.

I photograph just 1–2 minis per evening, so we can still choose a beautiful location, give everyone a chance to settle in, and create something that feels like your family — just in a shorter session.

Family Minis | $400 + GST
10 fully edited images
Up to 6 immediate family members
Limited fall evenings

Or, if you’d like more time and variety, my full family sessions are also booking for fall.

I’ve been very quiet over here while actually photographing so many of you this summer. Apparently at some point I have to show you what I’ve been creating. 😂

I loved this little summer evening with the Tullis family — and the reminder that family photos aren’t only for the years when your kids are little. There is something pretty special about documenting who they are becoming, too.

And somehow, we’re already heading into fall. 🍂 Fall family sessions + my slower-paced minis are now booking. More on those coming this week!

Some weddings are big and bustling, and some feel like a quiet little pause in the middle of real life. 🤍

This spring, these two gathered their closest people, got married, and started this next chapter together — and now they’re heading back to school, continuing to build their futures right alongside one another.

There was something so sweet about the way they moved through the day together. A little nervous, a little giddy, completely comfortable in each other’s company — the kind of connection that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt.

I’ve photographed weddings in so many different seasons of life, and I think that’s what I’ll always love most about them. Beyond the dress and the flowers and all the beautiful details, I get to document who you were right here — at the very beginning of whatever comes next.

Here’s to spring weddings, intimate celebrations, and building a life side by side. 🤍 ❤️

Apparently my summer strategy has been to disappear into Photoshop. 😅

Between peony sessions, grads, family sessions, events, travel, and all the beautiful galleries waiting to be finished, social media has definitely taken a back seat.

But this image deserved to interrupt the editing marathon.

Every year peony season arrives in a blur—golden evenings, vibrant blooms, creative inspiration, and so many incredible people trusting me to capture this little window of the year. It’s one of my favourite weeks of the entire season, and I always leave feeling so grateful (and with far too many favourite images!).

Thank you to everyone who’s been so patient while I work through your galleries. I’m making my way through each one with lots of love, and I promise there are so many beautiful images coming your way (and to this feed!) very soon. 🌸

Five years between these two photographs… and somehow it feels like the blink of an eye.

When we recreated this moment in the peonies this week, all I could think was…

I hope we do it again someday.

Maybe when she graduates.
Maybe on her wedding day.
Maybe years from now with another twirl and another season of life.

This is why I believe so deeply in photographing your family again and again. It’s not just about beautiful photos—it’s about creating a visual story of your lives together. Looking back and realizing just how much has changed… while the love between you has stayed exactly the same.

Twelve.

One foot still in childhood, the other stepping toward middle school, new adventures, and all the growing that happens far too fast.

Her mom has made a point of documenting each birthday with photos over the years, and I can promise you this: these images become more valuable with every passing season.

We spend so much time photographing milestones—first birthdays, graduations, weddings—but there is something incredibly special about capturing who they are right now. The smile that’s changing, the confidence that’s growing, the personality that shines a little brighter every year.

Happy 12th birthday to this beautiful girl, and congratulations on finishing Grade 6. Middle school is lucky to have you. ❤️

Parents: don’t wait for the “big” milestones. The in-between years deserve to be remembered too.
