Dogs Without Borders

One of my favourite things about photographing dogs is that no matter where I am in the world, the assignment remains exactly the same:

Find a dog.
Make friends with the dog.
Take approximately a million photos of the dog.
Wonder why I ever thought I needed another career.

These are a few of the dogs I’ve had the absolute joy of photographing while abroad. Different countries, different landscapes, different languages, but the same ridiculous amount of love.

Because dogs are pretty universal.

Here, there, and everywhere, dogs deserve photos. 🌎🐾

Happy International Dog Day from this Calgary dog photographer to every good boy, good girl, chaos goblin, adventure buddy, and beloved family member out there.

Where are my black and white dog lovers at?

I’m not sure if you could tell but I love me a classic black and white dog, I might be biased. We all know colour, breed etc doesn’t matter BUT dare I say, it’s even better with a bully breed…

I know, I know I LOVE THEM ALL.

Monty, you are the truest of gentlemen and we literally could have been done our session in
5 min because you were so well behaved.

It might have been the sunset, the beautiful sunset and soft jazz playing but you sure stole my heart! ♥️

Will the leaderboard change? It’s very well could.

And that’s a pretty important part of why Four Dogs Brewing Company and I chose to work with Calgary Humane Society as the beneficiary of the Furever Golden (T)ale Beer Label Contest.

Because while we’re having a ridiculous amount of fun cheering on all of the dogs, the money raised is helping support an organization doing the serious work for animals in our community.

And we are officially in the FINAL 2 DAYS of the contest. 🚨

Voting closes this Saturday, August 15.

So go give your favourite dog one last little boost, share their fundraiser with your dog obsessed friends, and help us finish this thing with a whole lot of love for Calgary’s animals.

Calgary, meet Adoptable Fallon. ❤️

And this one is extra special to me because Fallon is Stanley’s littermate brother. Same ridiculous Boxer face and floppy ears. Same enormous heart. And, apparently, the same operating system. 😂
Fallon is a big, loving boy who adores his person. He takes treats gently, loves to snuggle, and when the house is quiet, he’s a pretty chill guy.

But let a squirrel, rabbit, magpie, or other small creature move outside and suddenly he’s HEAD OF SECURITY. He can be a barker, an excited puller, and his curiosity about little critters gets the better of him. Because of that, Fallon needs a home without cats, small dogs, or other little animals.

He’s also a big, enthusiastic, slightly clumsy boxer boy, so older, bigger kids would be the best fit.

What Fallon really wants is someone to love, a sunny spot to stretch out, and preferably a spot on your bed. He occasionally snores. He occasionally farts. And he is very good at looking innocent afterward. 😂
