I'd like to thank my kid-clients for keeping me young and for adding laugh-lines to my face! 😂 I've drawn the conclusion that kids are the Fountain of Youth. ❤

I might be a little greyer, my knees a little louder, and my face a little more creased over the years. But, the joy that all my little kid clients bring me with their fun antics and youth keep my smiling and laughing each and every session. ❤

I delivered this Cake Smash just last week in a gorgeous album, and Mom started crying when she flipped through the pages of her custom book.

I don't know how to explain it with words, but seeing the photos printed is a whole new experience.

Add on a custom, leather album with a thoughtfully designed book that tells a beautiful story? Now that's a whole different level!

I have been offering these high-quality print options for a long time now. One might argue that the easiest and most efficient way to go about photography is to just provide online downloads and send the client on their way. But, I guess I just like to make things complicated for me and easier for my client 😂 and just seeing the looks on their faces when everything is perfect and ready to go (and absolutely GORGEOUS) is one of the things I look forward to the most when it comes to stepping up and being different in the photography world. ❤

I had someone ask, "Why do you watermark all the photos you post online?"

This might sound crazy, but I have had it happen where other photographers steal my work to advertise their own sessions. And, when I've confronted them about it, their argument is that I did not watermark them, so that means they could use them to advertise.

This couldn't be farther from the truth!

Any "photographer" using another photographer's work (and now, AI) to advertise sessions is not being truthful or ethical. Could you imagine hiring someone for examples of work that they never even created themselves?

Also, there's this fun little thing called copyright. I could dive more into those details, but to keep things short: it's illegal. Yes, you're breaking the law.

Even if you don't "claim" they're their images, if that "professional photographer" is using someone else's images (or fabricated images that you never actually produced), the point is simple: they're lying to their clients. Would you hire a liar or thief for any other service? I know I wouldn't.

I just love Cake Smashes. When I see a setup come together, I just start cackling with excitement. 😂 And the best part is, my clients just show up and everything is ready to go! We always have so much fun, too.

When I look for a service, I always hope to get top notch quality and a level of honesty and expertise... a trust that the person I've hired is going to guide me in the right direction. Whether it be having permanent Christmas lights installed, a new windshield, house cleaning, etc...

And, because that is my mindset when hiring other professionals for other things, that is also my mindset when it comes to my clients with photography. Because it's nice to feel taken care of and have that level of trust.

I'm sure many of you can relate: I've had both good and bad experiences when it comes to hiring for different services. I always aim to provide the best service I can... and the repeat business that I have tells me that I'm probably heading in the right direction. ❤

My client is contemplating which option to go with for their dining room!

I personally love the circle option, because it’s different and fresh while still offering a minimalist style. They already have an album (peek that dining room table!) and are wanting to add some artwork to the walls of their new home.

As a photographer offering prints, sometimes I also feel a bit like an interior designer. 😂
