I photographed this sweet family before, so getting to see how much Kenzie has grown and capture her again was extra special.

When the bride first asked me to photograph their wedding, it took me a little while to believe that I could actually do it. 🤍

I had photographed engagement sessions and family sessions, but a wedding felt like such a big step. I remember wondering if I was good enough and if I could truly capture such an important day for someone else.

But I’m so incredibly grateful that she believed in me, even when I wasn’t sure I believed in myself.

It was a rainy, chilly day, but somehow the rain stopped just in time for their first look. And honestly… their first look was incredible.

The emotions were so raw and genuine that even as the photographer, I could feel them. Moments like that are exactly why I love photography being able to freeze a feeling, a moment, a memory that people can look back on for years to come.

I’ll always be grateful they trusted me to capture their day. 🤍

It’s been a busy summer, and while I haven’t been posting quite as much as I’d like, I’ve been behind the scenes editing, photographing, and doing my best to stay on top of everything. 🤍

These past couple of weeks have been especially unpredictable with the weather. I’ve had plenty of sessions with gloomy skies and rainy days, but honestly, I’ve come to appreciate those overcast evenings. While they may not always give me the warm, glowy images I’m usually chasing, I love the challenge of working with whatever the weather brings and finding the beauty in it.

I’m so grateful for every family who has trusted me to capture their memories over the past few weeks. And to all of the new families who have recently booked a session with me I’m so excited to meet you and photograph this season of your lives. 🤍

Thank you for being here, for trusting me, and for allowing me to do what I love. I can’t wait for all the beautiful sessions ahead.

Sharing a few more of my favourites from this beautiful session 🤍

There’s something that truly warms my heart about seeing little ones having so much fun during their session. When it comes to photographing kids, it’s not always about getting them to pose perfectly or look at the camera.

I love capturing them just as they are laughing, playing, exploring, and completely lost in the moment. Those genuine, happy moments are often the ones that tell their story best.

Finally diving into my Okotoks mini sessions! 🤍

I am SO grateful for the amazing families who came out this evening. We had already rescheduled these minis once because of the stormy weather, and with a fully booked schedule, I really couldn’t see how I’d be able to reschedule again.

So, we embraced the “rain or shine” mentality and made the absolute best of it. And honestly? It turned out to be such an incredible evening.

I had so much fun with the families who came out, and I’m so grateful for thier flexibility, patience, and willingness to roll with the weather. Sometimes the unexpected moments end up being the most memorable. 🤍

Summer is finally here, and I can’t wait to get out there capturing moments that turn into memories lasting a lifetime.
