Today marks 20 years of sisterhood with my bestie Catherine L-Helps 🤍📸
Catherine has been down for anything I want to do, especially when it comes to photography. She has been with me before having a photographer as a best friend was a trend. At times, I was perceived as the weird girl with the camera and she never made me feel odd for taking a million photos. She’s supported me with not only my favourite hobby, but also my dream to start a business. Without Catherine, I wouldn’t have been able to practice using my endless types of cameras growing up. I wouldn’t have been able to build my portfolio (starting at 10 years old). I wouldn’t have been able to practice editing and find my style of photography. She’s been the OG model in my life, and I’m so thankful for that. She’s helped me start my business and continues to help me whenever I have “a photo idea”. Whether it be +30 or -30, Catherine is in an outfit of my choosing, posing for the camera to help me get creative — without a second thought. Even if my concepts seemed too “cringey”, Catherine has never made me feel like I’m “too much”. She’s never complained about me shoving a camera in her face, doing her hair and makeup for shoots, or sharing her beautiful face to the world for 2 decades.
Thankful for having my almost 6ft best friend to be my favourite model. I don’t know a childhood, my teenage years, or early adulthood without Catherine. I love you’ Looking forward to 20 more & capturing more memories with you. 💗
